U14 Certification Requirements

These the requirements to become a U14 Division parent volunteer Coach.

1) You must already be a certified U12 Division Coach

2) Complete AYSO’s Summary of the Laws of the Game (see instructions below)

3)  Complete Intermediate Coach Online Pre-Course prior to taking the in-person training.  As a part of the preparation you have to complete the Coach Training Plan and e-mail it to the course instructor for review and corrections. (see instructions below)

4) Complete AYSO Intermediate Coach in-person training seminar. 

The coach administrator will notify you of the upcoming training session opportunities via e-mail as well as post notices on Armonk United news website.  The AYSOU.ORG site should be used to register for the session.  Failure to register in advance may jeopardize your certification. Failure to complete the required online courses prior to registering for camp will result in no credit given.  Failure to take the written test at the end of the classroom session will result in no credit given to you for your time and effort.   No test, no certification, no exceptions!  If you registered for the camp but cannot attend please notify the coach administrator immediately.



How to complete AYSO's Summary of the Laws of the Game:

  • Navigate to: https://aysou.org/  and click "login" button in the upper right-hand corner
  • Use the same username/password you have created for logging into www.armonkunited.org
  • Click "Online Courses" on the red ribbon on top
  • Scroll down to find "AYSO's Summary of the Laws of the Game" and click "Open"
  • Take the course through the end and save the certificate of completion.  Send the certificate to Coach Admin dmitry.reznikov at gmail dot com


How to complete Intermediate Coach Online Pre-Course on AYSOU:

  • Navigate to: https://aysou.org/  and click "login" button in the upper right-hand corner
  • Use the same username/password you have created for logging into www.armonkunited.org
  • Click "Online Courses" on the red ribbon on top
  • Scroll down to find "Intermediate Coach Training Pre-Course" and click "Open"
  • Download the “Intermediate coach eBook” for your reference. It’s in a protected PDF format (file extension *.PDC) which requires a special file reader to be installed. For more information on how to install and use a protected PDF reader software please follow the instructions on download page.  The hard copies of the manual will be handed out during training.
  • All Intermediate Coach Online Pre-Course segments including the required Training Plan must be completed prior to the in-person camp session.  The training plan must be emailed several days in advance to give time for the course instructor to review, comment, and possibly send back for an update.
  • Take the course through the end and save the certificate of completion.  Send the certificate to Coach Admin dmitry.reznikov at gmail dot com



How to register for the In Person coach training session through AYSOU:

  • Navigate to: https://aysou.org/  and click "login" button in the upper right-hand corner
  • Use the same username/password you have created for logging into www.armonkunited.org
  • Click "In-Person Course" on the red menu ribbon on top.
  • Select "Coach Instructor Led Courses"
  • Find Intermediate Coach and click Session button next to it.
  • Find the correct session you want to register for. The courses offered in Westchester usually start with “Area 3/T” in the description line.
  • Click on "Register" button next to the correct session.
