U10 Certification Requirements

There are four requirements to become a certified U10 Division parent volunteer Coach.

1) Register as a volunteer on Armonk United site and complete the background check application

2) Complete AYSO “Safe Haven course online

3) Complete "CDC Concussion Awareness" course online

4) Complete AYSO U10 in-person Coach training camp.  The coach administrator will notify you of the upcoming training session opportunities via e-mail as well as post notices on Armonk United news website. The U10 online course that can be found online is useful but is not sufficient to become certified.  The AYSOU.ORG site should be used to register for the in-person coach camp.  Failure to register in advance may jeopardize your certification.  Failure to take the written test at the end of the classroom session will result in no credit given to you for your time and effort.  No test, no certification, no exceptions!  If you registered for the camp but cannot attend please notify the coach administrator immediately.

How to register for the In Person coach training session through AYSOU:

  • Navigate to: https://aysou.org/  and click "login" button in the upper right-hand corner
  • Use the same username/password you have created for logging into www.armonkunited.org
  • Click "In-Person Course" on the red menu ribbon on top.
  • Select "Coach Instructor Led Courses"
  • Find 10U Coach pane and click "Session" button next to it.
  • Find the correct session for which you want to register. The courses offered in Westchester usually start with “Area 3/T” in the description line.
  • Click on "Register" button next to the correct session.
