AYSO Region 204 Weather Announcement and Game Cancellation Policy – Fall 2016

AYSO 204 games are cancelled when weather and / or field conditions are unsafe for participants. Games will not be played when the regional board determines that:

• It has been less than 30 minutes since the most recent observation of lightning or thunder.
• The fields are unsafe, including being excessively wet, muddy, icy, snow covered, uneven, or damaged turf.
• Weather conditions are otherwise unsafe, including excessive heat, cold, or wind.

AYSO 204 is committed to determine and communicate game cancellations as quickly and efficiently as possible to minimize inconvenience to its member families, players, coaches, referees, and spectators.

All weather announcements will be broadcast as follows:

• All region e-mails to all participants
• Coaches are encouraged to forward messages to their teams once they have heard from the regional board and their division administrators.
