Volunteer Coach Certification Steps
- Create an Account on this system and register as a volunteer coach for one of the divisions. Complete Verified Volunteers online background application. Detailed instructions can be found here
- Complete AYSO's Safe Haven online course on AYSO University site www.aysou.org. Safe Haven that was developed to protect both children and volunteers. The program covers protection guidelines, safety and injury prevention as well as the important of role modeling sporting behavior and supporting the philosophies of AYSO. It requires that each AYSO volunteer agree to a background check and take in-person or online training that’s focused on the best ways to work with children and important safety protocols. - Complete CDC Concussion online training on AYSO University site. CDC Concussion is required for all volunteer coaches and referees. Detailed instructions can be found here
- Complete the age-specific coach training online (Divisions U5, U6 U7 and U8) or in-person Coach "super-camps" (Divisions U10 and up). Detailed instructions can be found on the Division-specific resource page.
